Job summary

Puget Collision is seeking a Paint Prepper in Orange, CA to support the Paint department. The role requires preparing surfaces, masking, and applying paint per blueprints and color codes, under the supervision of a Lead Painter.

The position is full-time hourly with a pay range of $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, non-exempt, and requires safety and 5S practices in a fast-moving shop environment.

Qualifications

• I-CAR Certification required within 1 year.
• Basic understanding of paint application for automobile collision repair.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions independently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect quality of repairs before painting begins.
• Ensure safe vehicle flow in and out for the Paint department.
• Adhere to paint production schedule set by Lead Painter.
• Operate spray booth and other paint related equipment.
• Mask and protect vehicles appropriately.
• Mix and color-match paints accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and PPE compliance.
• Report shortages to Lead Painter for replenishment.
