A busy auto repair shop is seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic to diagnose and repair vehicle issues. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, an understanding of vehicle systems, and relevant certifications. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, routine maintenance, providing repair estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and oil changes.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems.
• Create repair estimates and timelines for customers.
• Maintain accurate repair shop records.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
