6AM City, LLC is seeking an Auto Mechanic to join our busy repair shop in Alaska. You will diagnose and repair vehicles to restore performance and reliability, while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and is dependable. Training is available for the right person, and welding ability is a plus. Salary will be based upon skill and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• ASE certification or SAE certification is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and training available for the right candidate.
• Ability to weld is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, tire replacement, oil changes, and brake pad replacements, exhaust repair and replacement.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes.
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
