Job summary

Same Day Delivery Inc. is seeking a skilled Mobile Auto Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles in the Englewood area.

The role requires troubleshooting on the road and in-shop to maximize reliability and functionality, with a standard shift Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include diagnosing engine and electrical issues, inspecting systems, performing routine maintenance, providing repair estimates, maintaining logs, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an auto mechanic.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics and repair methods.
• Willingness to follow safety precautions.
• Valid ASE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mobility to NJ, NY and PA for on-site service.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
• Conduct routine maintenance (fluids, lubrication) for vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on vehicle use.
• Repair or replace broken/dysfunctional parts and fix leaks.
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
• Keep logs on work and issues.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.

QualificationsRequirements

• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Excellent physical condition
• High school diploma
• Valid certification (e.g. ASE) is a definite plus
