Manheim (a Cox Automotive company) is hiring an Auto Maintenance Tech I to perform repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles. You will work with a team that values hands-on problem solving and quality workmanship, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current ASE Certifications: G1, A4, A5 status when required by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flushes, spark plugs and vehicle inspections.
• Test, maintain and replace batteries; diagnose and repair starting and charging electrical systems.
• Repair tires, perform safety inspections and service interior/exterior components.
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems.
• Evacuate and recharge AC systems; perform equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with approved vendors for parts; upfit new vehicles as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
• Perform auto maintenance tech duties, including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush, spark plugs and vehicle inspection.
• Perform battery testing, maintenance and replacement and testing and repairing of starting and charging electrical systems.
• Perform various repairs including tires, safety inspections and interior/exterior components.
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems.
• Perform an evacuation and recharge on the AC system.
• Perform maintenance on equipment.
• Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts.
• May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment
• Complies with applicable procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable trash.

Who You Are

Required:

• 1 or more years of related work experience.
• The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver‘s license required

Preferred:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Current ASE Certifications: G1, A4, A5 status when required by leadership.

MSCOX USD 22.07 - 33.13 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $22.07 - $33.13/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate‘s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
