Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a part-time Auto Maintenance Tech I at Cox location in Slidell, LA. You will perform light maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, following a day shift schedule (Mon-Fri).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, and inspections.
• Test and replace batteries; service starting/charging systems.
• Repair tires and perform safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, steering and suspension.
• Evacuate and recharge AC systems.
• Maintain equipment and order parts from approved vendors.
• May up-fit vehicles with equipment.
• Follow recyclables, fluids and waste procedures.

What You’ll Do

You’ll perform light duty work as an intermediate-level auto tech. You’ll improve your skills in a supportive environment. Other responsibilities include:

• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.

• Perform auto maintenance tech duties, including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush, spark plugs and vehicle inspection.

• Perform battery testing, maintenance and replacement and testing and repairing of starting and charging electrical systems.

• Perform various repairs including tires, safety inspections and interior/exterior components.

• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems.

• Perform an evacuation and recharge on the AC system.

• Perform maintenance on equipment.

• Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts.

• May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment

• Complies with applicable procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable trash.
