Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Lube and Tire Technician in Jonesboro, AR. You will perform non-technical service repairs such as oil changes, tire mounting, balancing, and wheel rotations, while also operating the company vehicle for errands and maintaining shop cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Possess valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.
• General understanding of automotive mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles following all guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Documents vehicle condition and any repairs using the inspection/repair order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas; follows safety procedures.
