SEMA is seeking a hands-on Garage Mechanic for the Diamond Bar facility to perform mechanical work and diagnostics across gas, diesel, hybrid, and EV platforms. You will install aftermarket components, support R&D activities, and collaborate with engineers and OEM partners to ensure high-quality work in a fast-paced, mission-driven shop.

Qualifikationen

• Broad mechanical background across diagnostics, service, repair, and installation across multiple vehicle technologies.
• Identify mechanical issues, evaluate fitment concerns, and communicate findings clearly.
• Familiarity with powertrain, suspension, braking, chassis, electrical, and diagnostic systems.

Aufgaben

• Perform mechanical work from basic service to advanced diagnostics and technical evaluations.
• Install, remove, and evaluate aftermarket components for SEMA member companies (performance, suspension, wheel/tire, body, accessories).
• Support measurement sessions, fitment reviews, R&D activities, and vehicle-based engineering evaluations.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop with strong workspace ownership.
• Operate shop tools and equipment (lifts, diagnostics, fabrication, specialty equipment).
• Collaborate with Garage staff, engineers, OEM partners, and visiting member companies in a customer-facing, technical setting.
• Assist with special projects, prototype work, and vehicle preparation as assigned.
