Job summary

Glass America is hiring Auto Glass Technicians in Saint Paul, MN. This role covers installation of auto glass and related products in-shop or on a mobile basis, using proper tools and techniques to deliver timely, quality service. You will ensure paperwork is completed and maintain a safe driving record.

You should have a High School Diploma or GED and 4–6 years of related experience. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able stand for long periods of time in the installation of glass.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling glass.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Mechanical aptitude and the skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment
• Must be able to complete background check/MVR and drug screening process.

Responsibilities

• Includes but not limited to installing auto glass in-shop or on a mobile basis.
• Complete required paperwork and submit to the appropriate person or location.
• Maintain a safe driving record per company policy.
• May perform auto glass repairs as needed.
• Load glass in the truck and report problems to the Glass Manager.
• Provide excellence in customer service and maintain quality control.
• Ensure all equipment is operating properly and follow company policies.

Job Description: Auto Glass Technicians for Glass America

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Including but not limited to: Installs auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis. Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers. Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location. Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. May perform auto glass repairs as needed. Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers. Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location. Load glass in the truck as needed. Immediately follow up with the Glass Manager on any problems that arise in the installation of the glass. Maintain high levels of quality control. Provide excellence in customer service. Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. Ensure that all needed equipment is operating properly. Immediately report any accident/incident to the Glass Manager. Comply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Maintain a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workers.

Pay ranges from $25 - $47 per hour, based on experience.

Glass America reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet business and organizational needs as necessary.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED preferred. 4-6 years of related work experience is required.
