Safelite is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Auto Glass Technician in Tampa, Florida. This position offers paid hands-on training to learn auto glass repair and installation while providing essential services to customers.

The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence, customer service, and safety. Competitive pay starts at $20.25/hour and increases to $24/hour after certification, with a generous benefits package.

What You Will Do

• Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way, through hands‑on and classroom training.
• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot and complete diagnostic testing.
• Provide additional services and products.
• Study and pass testing to become a Safelite‑certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installations and following taught techniques.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals throughout the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

What You’ll Get

• Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, increasing to $24/hour after training and certification.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license; additional license(s) as required by law to operate a company vehicle.

Experience Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist the body.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws.
• Maintain professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work with chemicals, including flammable ones, as required.
• Ability to work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times.
• Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write and interpret English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer).
• Adhere to company dress code and PPE policies.
• Maintain stable performance under pressure.
