Job summary

Arrow Glass Industries is seeking an entry-level diesel mechanic to perform repair and preventive maintenance on its trucks and equipment. You will diagnose major components, use diagnostic tools, welding and hand tools to keep vehicles in safe, reliable condition.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and strong problem‑solving and communication abilities. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am–4pm, with DOE starting pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience with Cummins Diesel and small diesel engines with turbo.
• Experience with using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Summary of Position:

Seeking an entry-level diesel mechanic to repair and preventative maintenance on company's vehicles and equipment.

Essential Duties:

• Entry-level of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
• Experience with working on Cummins Diesel and small diesel engine with turbo.
• Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)
• Valid driver's license required.
• The ability to solve problems.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Basic computer skills

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
