Columbus Technical College in Columbus, GA is seeking a full-time Auto Collision Repair Instructor to deliver competency-based classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction in collision repair, refinishing, and related automotive technologies.

The instructor will develop lesson plans, assess student outcomes, ensure shop safety, and stay current with industry practices while collaborating with industry partners to ensure program relevance and workforce alignment.

Qualifications

Diploma, certificate, or associate degree in Auto Collision Repair, Automotive Refinishing, or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in Auto Collision Repair industry.
Knowledge of collision repair safety practices, equipment operation, and standards.
Ability to communicate technical concepts and teach in classroom and lab environments.
Education may be substituted for work experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction in Auto Collision Repair, including assessment and repair techniques.
Develop and deliver lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with state standards and industry needs.
Evaluate student progress and maintain records of grades and attendance.
Ensure safety, PPE usage, and shop procedures are followed in instructional areas.
Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to ensure program relevance and workforce alignment.
Assist with student recruitment, retention, and placement efforts.
