Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking a General Manager for the Tampa collision center to lead daily operations, drive exceptional customer experiences, and ensure adherence to policy and safety standards.

You will steer the facility to meet KPIs and insurance metrics, coach staff, and promote professionalism in every customer interaction. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is executed consistently.
• Prepare and manage annual and monthly collision center budgets.
• Forecast and track monthly sales, profit and expenses.
• Deliver performance reviews for staff.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable for the center.
• Maintain a clean, organized repair facility and safe operations.
• Provide training for staff as needed.
• Enforce safety gear and dress code across staff.
• Open/close facility daily per procedures.
• Lead daily production meetings to align throughput and dates.
• Manage labor mix to standards and control capacity.
• Lead repair facility personnel and supervise teams.
• Run monthly health & safety and staff meetings.
• Attend managers meetings and leadership sessions.
• Ensure CSI metrics and follow-up within 24 hours.

Job Description

The General Manager's primary responsibility and accountability includes providing an exceptional and successful customer experience while leading and maintaining the day-to-day operation of the Store in compliance with established policies and procedures. The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPIs and insurance metrics are met. They are responsible to coach and empower each team member's performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers, and the General Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer's experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.
• Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.
• Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.
• Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.
• Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth
• Provide training for all staff as necessary
• Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.
• Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.
• Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm throughput and delivery dates
• Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards.
• Manage store capacity.
• Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.
• Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings.
• Attend monthly managers meetings.
• Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.
• Store CSI performance review and follow up within 24 hours.

Education and/or Experience Required

• Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to consistently demonstrate a successful client experience.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.

Compensation Details

$75,000 - $106,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.

Supplemental Pay: This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
