Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Representative, Auto, in the United States. You will analyze and process auto and transportation claims, assess damage, and authorize payments while ensuring proper documentation and coding of each file.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred), state licenses as needed, and familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited college or university.
• State adjusting licenses as required for the position.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
• Ability to review Property Damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto property damage and lower level injury claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and ensures claim files are properly documented and correctly coded.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state required contract deadlines and move files toward prompt resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker as appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations and provides accurate information.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
