Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform structural and non-structural repairs, disassemble and reassemble vehicles, and collaborate with the team to hit KPI targets. The role requires hands-on skilled expertise and a commitment to quality.

Candidate should have at least 3 years in auto body repair and MIG/TIG welding experience. Red Seal or I-CAR Gold Class is preferred; own toolbox and a valid driver’s license are required. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
• Use of frame equipment
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI’s (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education And/or Experience Required For The Job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education And/or Experience

• Red Seal is preferred
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other Requirements Travel, Physical Requirements, Etc.

• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver’s license required

Compensation Details

Hourly

$25 - $33 per hour, Flat Rate

Compensation Is Commensurate With Skill, Education And Experience.
