Job summary

Fox Negaunee Chevrolet GMC is seeking an entry-level Body Shop Technician Trainee to develop hands-on collision repair skills alongside experienced technicians. This role focuses on learning disassembly, reassembly, and safe tool use in a busy shop environment.

You will participate in required technical training and on-the-job instruction, with emphasis on safety procedures and quality workmanship while supporting day-to-day operations and professional growth.

Qualifications

• No previous collision repair experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive collision repair.
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills through hands-on instruction and formal training.
• Dependable, motivated, and able to follow instructions and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with learning proper collision repair techniques, procedures, and industry standards.
• Help with vehicle disassembly, reassembly, repair preparation and other body repair tasks under supervision.
• Learn safe use of body shop tools, equipment, and materials.
• Move customer vehicles into and out of work areas as directed.
• Retrieves parts, materials, and supplies needed for repairs.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
