Job summary

The Boyd Group in Athens, GA is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and ensure repairs meet quality and speed standards as part of a collaborative team.

You will work with tools to repair bodies, realign frames, replace parts, weld, and repaint, while meeting KPIs and upholding brand excellence. Strong manual skills and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents, dimples, and minor body damage and apply filler resins where needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, then repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Aim to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
