Responsibilities

1. Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process.
2. Communicate with team members regarding vehicle repair status.
3. Perform quality repairs while adhering to on-time completion goals.
4. Make decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
5. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicle and fenders.
6. Participate in all required safety meetings.
7. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
8. Supervise and direct the work of apprentices or repair personnel when needed, explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems or questions.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must pass a thorough background check.

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, skills, certifications, and qualifications. This role is paid on a commission/flag rate structure, with guaranteed minimum wages. The listed pay range reflects the average for full-time employees.
