Responsibilities

1. Examines damaged vehicles and efficiently plans the repair process.
2. Communicates with team members regarding vehicle repair status.
3. Performs quality repairs while adhering to on-time completion goals.
4. Decides on repair vs. replacement, considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
5. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicle components.
6. Participates in all required safety meetings.
7. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
8. Supervises and directs the work of apprentices when needed, explaining procedures and solving unusual problems.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a frame machine.
• Preferred certification in body repair.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must pass a thorough background check.
