Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Orange Park, FL. You will meticulously assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassemble and reassemble cars, and contribute to speed, quality, and customer excellence within the shop team.

You’ll work with various auto body tools, aim to complete work within time guidelines, and ensure repairs meet factory or agreed standards. Compensation includes hourly pay with potential bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Experience with auto body repair tools and processes.
• Willingness to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins to repair dents when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replaces or repairs glass and windshields as needed.
• Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed.
• Welds and attaches parts; preps and repaints vehicles to spec.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspects vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
