Job summary

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) is seeking an Auto Body Mechanic II to join the X7 Logistics Body Shop in Wake County. You will perform hands-on body repairs, refinishing, and restoration of patrol vehicles to return them to service.

Responsibilities include dent removal, panel replacement, glass installation, and maintenance of shop equipment. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years in auto body repair.
• Experience repairing and restoring patrol vehicles preferred.
• Ability to read repair manuals and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged patrol vehicles to restore original specs.
• Refinish and detail vehicle surfaces for factory appearance.
• Replace glass and water seals; perform restoration on out-of-service vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop and proper tool care.
• Perform specialized repairs and support shop maintenance.
