Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of the WOW plan.
• Prepare cost estimates for customers and plan repair work.
• Repair minor body damage; realign car chassis and frames.
• Replace damaged sections of vehicles with new parts.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure work is completed correctly.

Skills

Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision

Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop

Understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies

Understanding of how to use tools required for the trade

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical school program OR 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
