This role focuses on planning and performing high-quality repairs while coordinating with team members to maintain on-time delivery and uphold safety standards.

The technician will repair damaged vehicles, assess repair vs. replacement options, and mentor apprentices, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machines.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates with team on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Makes repair vs. replace decisions considering safety, cost and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, electrical and related components to access areas.
• Participates in required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with tools.
• Directs an apprentice and explains procedures as needed.
