Job summary

ABRA Auto is seeking an Auto Body Technician Assistant in Duluth, MN. You will assist metal technicians in assessing damage and help with repairs to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition in line with industry standards.

Role supports safety, uses proper procedures, and requires attention to detail. Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in auto body repair, a HS diploma or vocational training, and a willingness to follow directions and work well with others. I-CAR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of auto body collision repair experience or equivalent.
• High School diploma and vocational technical education preferred.
• I-CAR certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to receive direction and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist Metal Technicians in assessing structural damage to vehicles.
• Assist in repair decisions considering safety, cost and cycle time.
• Help remove and install upholstery, panels, bumpers, fenders, accessories, electrical and related equipment.
• Perform minor structural or replacement repairs and R&I components as needed.
• Attend daily release meetings and follow safety procedures.
