Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking an experienced technician to assess damaged vehicles and plan repair work. You will perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status, deciding between repair and replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time.

You will remove upholstery and components to access areas, participate in safety meetings, and mentor apprentices as needed. Strong background in vehicle repair and frame machinery is required.

Qualifications

• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Experience with frame machines and vehicle repair processes.
• I-CAR welding certification knowledge.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel and coordinate with team.
• Must pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.

• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access areas.

• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice when needed and explains procedures to the assistant.

We are committed to providing competitive compensation for this role. The actual offer will be based on various factors, including but not limited to: job related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant certifications and qualifications.

This position is paid on a commission/ flag rate structure. Flag pay is guaranteed to meet local minimum wage requirements for all hours worked each week. The compensation range listed is the average flag pay range for a typical full-time employee in this position.
