Job summary

Royal Automotive Group is seeking an Experienced Automotive Body Technician to mend damaged vehicles and collaborate with Estimators to ensure clear communication and accurate repairs. Responsibilities include repairing per estimate, verifying parts, and preparing vehicles for body work.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of body shop experience, I-CAR certification, a welding certificate, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Certified in Specific Car brands.
• At least 2 years experience as a body technician.
• I-CAR Certified and Steel Welding certificate required.
• Passion for collision repair technologies.
• Strong work ethic and professional appearance.
• Unrestricted driver's license with clean driving record.
• Able to operate a standard-transmission vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Repairs vehicles per estimate and manufacturer standards.
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
• Notifies Body Shop Estimator of any additional supplement parts or repairs needed.
• Notifies management and Estimator of any difficulties or problems that may affect quality or promised time.
• Maintains and wears all required PPE including respirator.
• Complies with laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and hazardous materials.
• Reports any deviations to management.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Royal Automotive Grouphas a unique opportunity as an Experienced Body Technician is responsible for mending damaged vehicles and making the necessary repairs. The Body Technician will be working in tandem with our Estimators to ensure all needs are communicated and executed correctly.

Automotive Body Technician Responsibilities

• Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
• Notifies Body Shop Estimator of any additional supplement parts or repairs needed.
• Notifies management and Body Shop Estimator of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
• Reports any deviations to management.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Automotive Body Technician Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Certified in Specific Car brands
• At least 2 years experience. Working as a standalone body technician preferred.
• Must be I-CAR Certified / along with Steel Welding certificate
• Must have a passion and aptitude for collision repair technologies
• Must have an impressive work ethic
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Must have an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to operate a standard-transmission vehicle
