Job summary

VIVE Collision in North Kingstown, Rhode Island is seeking an Autobody Technician to perform structural, body, frame, and unibody repairs. You will work with estimators and the production manager to keep repairs on schedule and minimize supplements.

Applicants should have 5+ years of auto-body collision experience, be able to work independently or in a team, stay highly organized, and read and interpret estimates and work orders. Own tools and strict safety compliance are required.

We are disrupting collision repair through People, Process and Passion.

The Autobody Technician is responsible for fixing a vehicle after its damage. You will perform quality structural, body, frame, and unibody repairs. Also, assisting the estimator with accurate estimates and minimizing the need for supplements. Understanding the repair vs. replacement process is vital in the position.

Job Requirements

• 5 plus years of auto-body collision experience
• Replacing and repairing bolt-on and weld-on panels
• knowledge of structural or replacement repairs, airbag replacement, and some mechanical work
• Meet or exceed the company’s requirements for tech efficiency, cycle time (to keep vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery), and return rate
• Work and communicate with the production manager and estimators on the vehicle repair status, including supplements
• Utilize all required safety equipment, follow proper repair procedures, and adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal
• Keep personal work area organized and clean, returns tools, and maintains parts/materials carts in an organized manner

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
