Job summary

Caliber Collision in Elgin is seeking an experienced auto body technician to join our service center team. You will perform full collision repairs from fender benders to frame rebuilds, focusing on frame accuracy and quality finishes. The role requires lifting up to 50lbs and a collaborative mindset to keep cars moving and customers satisfied.

Join a safety‑driven environment with modern equipment and growth opportunities, including I-CAR/ASE training. Eligible to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of turning wrecks into road-ready rides.
  • Frame and structural know-how: pull, straighten, and square it up.
  • No-shortcuts mentality: blueprint it and fix it right the first time.
  • Sharp eye for detail: tightened bolts, perfected welds.
  • Physically fit for the job: lift up to 50lbs.
  • Team-first attitude: collaborate with painters, estimators, and front office.

Responsibilities

  • Blueprint and execute repairs with precision and accuracy.
  • Perform full collision repair from fender benders to frame rebuilds.
  • Handle panel and structural work to bring components back to factory specs.
  • Ensure quality reassembly with proper fit and finish.
  • Work as a team to move cars efficiently through the shop.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety protocols.
