Job summary

West CARSTAR Auto Body is seeking an experienced auto body technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition in accordance with industry standards and factory specifications.

The role requires 2–5 years of collision repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and I-CAR/ASE training (certifications strongly preferred). You will own your tools and collaborate closely with the Production Manager and Estimator to complete repairs efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of auto body collision repair experience required.
• High School diploma/GED required, collision tech graduate preferred.
• I-CAR certification or ASE training required.
• I-CAR welding and ASE Structural (B4) certification strongly preferred.
• Experience using frame and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged vehicles using technical information sheets in accordance with repair orders
• Makes repair or replace decisions concerning safety and costs
• Performs structural or replacement repairs, airbag replacement and some mechanical work
• Works and communicates with Production Manager and Estimator on the vehicle repair status (including supplements)
• Own a set of required tools, in working order

West CARSTAR Auto Body is currently seeking to hire an auto body technician.

We are an independently owned and operated body shop with decisions made on site. We are a busy shop with a great atmosphere. We are in need of an experienced quality oriented and organized tech who wants to make money. Benefits include health insurance, dental, vacation, holiday pay and retirement.

The body technician is responsible for making repairs to all assigned vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition in accordance with industry standards and factory specifications.

The body technician will:

• Repair damaged vehicles using technical information sheets in accordance with repair orders
• Makes repair or replace decisions concerning safety and costs
• Performs structural or replacement repairs, airbag replacement and some mechanical work
• Works and communicates with Production Manager and Estimator on the vehicle repair status (including supplements)
• Own a set of required tools, in working order

Required hours -- Monday -- Friday 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.

Required Experience:

• 2-5 years of auto body collision repair experience required.
• High School diploma/GED required, collision tech graduate preferred.
• I-CAR certification or ASE training required.
• I-CAR welding and ASE Structural (B4) certification strongly preferred.
• Experience using frame and measuring equipment.
