Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Orlando, Florida is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide quality repairs and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.

The role requires a high school diploma and completion of a relevant technical program or apprenticeship. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and a competitive salary structure ranging from $21.00 to $29.00 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when necessary.
• Realigns car chassis and frames, removes damaged sections and replaces them.
• Welds and attaches parts into place to prepare and repaint vehicles.

Skills

Ability to read job orders

Ability to work with little supervision

Use of tools required for the trade
