Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Must read job orders and work with limited supervision.
• Strong understanding of tools and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and explain repair work and prepare cost estimates; use various tools to repair vehicles.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble vehicles and align chassis/frames.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair/replace glass and interior parts; weld and repaint as needed.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure work meets quality standards.
