Dave Gill Chevrolet in Columbus, OH is seeking an Auto Body Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, uphold quality and timeliness of repair work, and drive customer value and profitability. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of dealer-level or large facility experience, a post-secondary credential, and a willingness to obtain relevant automotive certifications.

Excellent communication, leadership, and computer skills are essential to lead a high-performing team and ensure safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Three years of progressive and relevant experience.
• Certification or designation in automotive repair (or is willing to obtain certification).
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the management and daily operations of the department.
• Ensures all service level targets are met or exceeded.
• Manages and mentors staff, including recruiting/hiring/training of all employees, overseeing HR/payroll, managing issues of discipline/termination, ensuring ongoing training/education, etc.
• Manages budget and finances.
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures.
• Guarantees customer satisfaction in all areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
