Qualifikationen

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in auto body work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience straightening panels and removing dents from vehicles/equipment using standard tools and practices.
• Ability to repair and rebuild damaged body components for metal, fiberglass and plastic.
• Preparations for painting including resins, fillers and primers, and knowledge of paint types and application methods.

Aufgaben

• Repair, rebuilding, and refinishing of vehicles and equipment under supervision.
• Straighten panels and align doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers; use stud gun, slide hammer, torches, welders.
• Remove and replace damaged components; prepare surfaces for painting with resins, fillers, primers.
• Paint vehicles and components using appropriate paints and methods; remove and replace glass and hardware as required.
• Maintain requisitions for parts and materials and keep related records.
