Job summary

Carvana in New York is seeking an Autobody Tech with at least 1 year of professional bodywork to join our high-tech Inspection Centers. You will perform light bodywork including prepping, sanding, buffing, bumpers removal/installation, and small area repairs.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $20-$24 plus a $500 bonus, 401(k) with company match, vehicle purchase discount, and comprehensive health coverage. Training programs are available for entry-level candidates to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license; MVR check may apply.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform light bodywork including prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles.
• Remove and install bumpers and perform minor plastic welding.
• Carry out small area bodywork including Bondo repair.
• Work with state-of-the-art tools in Carvana Inspection Centers.

General Qualifications And Requirements

• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
