Job summary

Murray's Collision Group in Port Orchard, WA is seeking an Auto Body Painter to lead our paint department, handling prep to final clear and ensuring delivery of every job.

We offer a 4-day work week, with a pay model of $24–$28 per flagged hour, plus medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, and paid holidays/PTO. Training is provided, with I-CAR/ASE certifications encouraged but not required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as an automotive painter, refinish technician or collision paint tech.
• Waterborne paint experience is a plus; training provided.
• I-CAR Platinum or ASE Refinish certification preferred but not required
• Strong color matching, blending and topcoat skills to OEM standards
• Organized, detail oriented and comfortable working independently
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Responsibilities

• Refinish vehicles to OEM and factory specifications, from prep through final clear coat.
• Mixing, tinting and color matching with a waterborne basecoat system.
• Blending panels and applying primer, sealer, basecoat and clear coat.
• Sanding, masking and prepping vehicles for paint.
• Managing paint inventory and keeping supplies stocked and organized.
• Maintaining the spray booth, mixing room and equipment.
• Following OSHA safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
• Updating the shop management system as vehicles move through refinish.
• Taking part in daily production meetings
