Auto Body Paint & Repair Technician – Louisville, KY
Position Summary
Responsible for repairing and painting automotive cosmetic damage in solvent and water-based systems, painting wheels, and managing a weekly sales route within territory.
Duties
- Maintain business relationships to increase client profits
- Maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure account longevity
- Drive company van to dealerships and fleet operations in metro area
- Walk car lots and write up for customer approval
- Inspect vehicle body surface and wheels for repair, prepping and buffing defects
- Mix specific colors using standard formulas or color charts
- Perform paint repairs and refinishing using spray equipment, power tools and surface prep techniques
- Sand, mask, blend and polish finish; apply or retouch paint as necessary
- Work with accounts/sales managers to improve service quality
- Service retail customers when necessary
- Report to assigned routes, establish daily accounts, and service all repairs timely
Requirements
- 1–2 years of automotive paint experience; wheel repair experience a bonus
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 21+ years, valid driver’s license
- Vision: close, distance and color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment
- Sales and customer service experience
- Determined to succeed
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- General computer skills
- Some route sales experience preferred
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication, self‑motivated, independent
- Regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb, perform repetitive motions
- Lift up to 50 pounds (tools, dyes, paints, wheels)
- Safe place to park company van

Compensation
Generous commission plan with a guaranteed daily minimum. Year 1 average – $55,000 / $65,000.
As a technician you will have a base salary, plus a generous commission structure. In addition to your base salary and commission, you will have the opportunity to earn additional compensation through bonuses.
