Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is seeking an Auto Body and Paint Technician to repair and recondition vehicles in a production environment. You will remove, repair, or replace damaged parts, prep surfaces, and assist with painting to meet quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years of paint and body experience, High School or GED, and the ability to work in a fast-paced shop. Tools like heat guns, torches, sanders, and drills are used daily, and teamwork and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in paint and body
• Automotive/auction experience preferred
• High School or GED preferred
• Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver's license
• May be required to provide tools to perform the job
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, or replace damaged parts
• Properly fill and sand in preparation for paint process and paint vehicles
• Use welding, soldering, and cutting torches as required
• Perform visual and feel quality inspection prior to painting
• Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned and dusted prior to painting
• May mask vehicles in preparation for paint process
• Communicate with other technicians to meet production goals and customer standards
• Clean equipment to ensure proper maintenance
• Assist with general shop cleanliness and organization
• Provide prompt and courteous service; maintain a professional environment
• Resolve customer complaints; inform management of serious incidents
• Promote teamwork and set a positive example
• Inform Body Shop Supervisor of equipment breakdowns
• Follow safety policies; use required PPE
