Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring an Auto Body Mechanic in Pittsburg, PA for a Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm schedule with a starting pay rate of $27.50 per hour. The role includes company-paid ASE testing, CDL B training, and a robust benefits package.

You will perform body repairs, document work orders, and ensure safety in the shop. ASE credentials or the ability to obtain them are encouraged, with the company supporting training and testing costs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience within an auto body repair facility.
• Valid driver's license required.
• ASE credentials or ability to obtain (we pay for material and testing).

Responsibilities

• Performs damaged sheet metal and body repairs using hand and power tools.
• Documents all repair and maintenance actions on work orders.
• Ensures vehicle security and safety while in the shop.
• Provides written estimates of repair when requested.

Starting Pay Rate: $27.50

About the Auto Body Mechanic Position:

As an Auto Body Mechanic with First Student, you will perform automotive body repairs, including straightening bent bodies, removing dents, and replacing damaged parts. Other major job duties include:

• Performs damaged sheet metal and body repairs. remove, replace, or repair body parts using hand and power tools

• Documents all repair and maintenance actions on work orders

• Ensures vehicle security and safety while in the shop

• Provides written estimates of repair when requested
  

Auto Body Shop Mechanic Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license

• Must have your own tools

• Auto Body & Collision Damage repair certificates preferred

• 1-2 years of experience within an auto body repair facility

• ASE credentials or ability to obtain (we pay for material and testing)
