Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a General Manager to lead day-to-day store operations and drive exceptional customer experiences. You will oversee budgeting, labor and safety, and manage a team across collision and glass services.

The role requires proven leadership in a collision environment, attention to detail, and strong coaching abilities to motivate staff and ensure consistent service quality.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is executed consistently.
• Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget.
• Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.
• Deliver formal annual and informal monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and maintain A/P and A/R for the Collision Center.
• Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.
• Oversee maintenance for all shop equipment, including the paint booth.
• Provide training for staff as necessary.
• Ensure staff wear proper safety gear and dress code.
• Open and close the facility daily.
• Conduct daily production meetings to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
• Manage estimates to ensure labor mix meets standards.
• Lead and manage repair facility personnel.
• Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings.
• Attend monthly managers meetings and training sessions.
• Follow CSI procedures and respond within 24 hours.

The General Manager’s primary responsibility and accountability includes providing an exceptional and successful customer experience while leading and maintaining the day-to-day operation of the Store in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.
• Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.
• Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.
• Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.
• Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth
• Provide training for all staff as necessary
• Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.
• Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.
• Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm through-put and delivery dates
• Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards.
• Manage store capacity.
• Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.
• Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings .
• Attend monthly managers meetings.
• Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.
• Store CSI performance review and follow up within 24 hours.

Education and/or Experience Required

• Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to consistently demonstrate a successful client experience
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.

Compensation Details: SALARY $75000 - $107000 / Year Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
