Job summary

Norm Reeves Subaru Rockwall is seeking a motivated Auto Body Buffer/Polisher for our Irvine, CA collision repair facility. Hourly rate ranges from $19 to $21, with a full-time schedule Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.

You will buff, color sand, and finish vehicles to exacting standards, while maintaining equipment and maintaining a clean, safe work area. The role emphasizes attention to detail and teamwork, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k matching, tuition

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive buffer/polisher preferred.
• Knowledge of color sanding and paint correction techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Buff and polish freshly painted vehicles and panels to achieve a flawless finish.
• Color sand painted surfaces to remove imperfections.
• Remove dust nibs, orange peel, runs, and other paint defects.
• Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery.
• Perform final quality control checks on paint appearance and finish.
• Assist with minor trim and molding reassembly after polishing.
• Perform final vehicle cleaning and detailing before customer delivery.
• Maintain buffing and polishing equipment in good working condition.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Work closely with painters and body technicians to ensure timely vehicle completion.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and manufacturer repair standards.
