Qualifications

• 1–2 years estimator experience required.
• Ability to read/interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedures manual.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Excellent communication skills, high initiative, and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
• Determine feasibility of repair vs replacement of parts (bumpers, fenders, doors).
• Evaluate practicality of repair vs paying vehicle market value before accident.
• Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Estimate cost of repainting or converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
• Present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
