Job summary

Momentum BMW is seeking an Appraiser to assess vehicle damage and determine repair costs for insurance settlements. You will examine vehicles for structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage; prepare cost estimates for labor and parts; review estimates with shop managers; and decide between repair and replacement.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle damage appraisal.
• Understanding of repair cost estimation.
• Familiarity with auto insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
• Estimates labor and parts costs to repair or replace each item.
• Reviews repair cost estimates with shop manager or foreman.
• If disagreeing on cost, arranges a second appraisal.
• Determines feasibility of repair vs replacement for parts like bumpers, fenders, doors.
• Evaluates repair practicality versus paying vehicle market value.
• Determines salvage value on total losses.
• Prepares insurance forms with repair estimates and recommendations.
• Estimates repainting or conversions for undamaged vehicles.
• Follows safety policies and reports accidents to a supervisor.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Performs duties safely.
• Passes pre-employment checks including background, MVR, drug test, credit report, and license.
