Job summary

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a full-time self-contained classroom in Berwyn, Illinois. You will support approximately 10 students with diverse learning and support needs, with a schedule from 8:30 AM–3:40 PM, providing a stable daily routine.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Illinois PEL with SPED endorsement, and experience with autism or complex needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience supporting students with autism and complex needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Implement positive behavioral and classroom management strategies.
• Participate in IEP meetings and support the development of student goals.
• Collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and related-service providers.
• Lead and manage a self-contained classroom of approximately 10 students.
• Support students with autism, including those with significant support needs.
• Adapt instruction, activities, and classroom routines to meet individual needs.
• Provide individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs and learning goals.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field

Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
