Job Overview/Summary

The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting children and adolescents with ASD across structured environments such as clinical, educational, or home-based settings. This position focuses on implementing evidence-based interventions, promoting developmental progress, and assisting with behavioral and therapeutic needs to enhance daily functioning and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Support children or adolescents with ASD in clinical, school, or home-based environments based on project scope
  • Apply evidence-based strategies and intervention techniques for ASD support
  • Assist in implementing individualized developmental and behavioral plans
  • Provide day-to-day therapeutic and behavioral support to clients
  • Monitor progress and adapt support strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, educators, and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports on client progress and activities
Primary Skills
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental conditions
  • Experience with evidence-based intervention techniques (e.g., ABA principles)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Behavioral observation and intervention skills
  • Documentation and reporting proficiency
Secondary Skills (Good To Have)
  • Experience in pediatric or early childhood settings
