Job description

About Bright Pathways ABA

Bright Pathways ABA is a rapidly growing provider of high-quality, individualized ABA therapy services for children with autism across Texas. We're passionate about making autism care more accessible, supporting families throughout their journey, and building meaningful relationships with the communities we serve.

Through our expanding network of pediatricians, healthcare providers, and referral partners, we've identified a significant need for accessible, timely autism diagnostic evaluations. We're excited to take the next step in our growth by developing a dedicated diagnostic evaluation program to help meet that need.

We're looking for an experienced, motivated professional who wants to be part of something bigger than a traditional clinical position. This is an opportunity to help launch and shape a new service line within a growing organization, supported by an established referral network and an experienced administrative team.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified clinician with experience conducting autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnostic evaluations for children.

We welcome applications from Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Psychological Associates (LPAs), and other appropriately qualified professionals who are authorized to perform autism diagnostic evaluations in Texas.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children and families, comfortable conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments, and interested in contributing to the development of a growing evaluation program.

We are open to part-time employment, independent contracting, or a partnership arrangement with an established practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive autism spectrum disorder diagnostic evaluations for children.

  • Administer and interpret standardized diagnostic assessments, including ADOS-2 when clinically appropriate and within the clinician's qualifications.

  • Review developmental histories, caregiver interviews, behavioral observations, and relevant clinical records.

  • Prepare accurate, comprehensive diagnostic reports with findings and recommendations.

  • Communicate evaluation results to families and provide guidance regarding appropriate next steps.

  • Collaborate with our administrative team to coordinate evaluations and support a smooth experience for families.

  • Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with applicable professional standards, licensing requirements, and insurance guidelines.

  • Contribute to the development and growth of our diagnostic evaluation services.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Texas professional license authorizing relevant diagnostic services, with appropriate supervision or independent practice authority where required.

  • Experience conducting autism diagnostic evaluations for children.

  • Strong understanding of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder.

  • Familiarity with standardized developmental and autism assessment tools.

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to provide diagnostic services consistent with applicable Texas laws and professional standards.

Preferred:

  • Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) or Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA).

  • Training and experience administering ADOS-2.

  • Experience evaluating young children, particularly ages 2–12.

  • Existing credentialing with major Texas commercial insurance and Medicaid plans.

  • Experience with telehealth diagnostic evaluations when clinically appropriate.

  • Experience working in a pediatric, developmental, or multidisciplinary clinical setting.
