Job summary

QSAC, Inc. in Nassau County and the Long Island region is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Residential Program. The DSP supports individuals with autism, following individualized plans to improve daily living and community engagement.

The role offers a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends, with possible overnight outings. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, plus experience with IDD and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists individuals following treatment plans.
• Promote independence by developing daily living/social skills.
• Ensure health, safety, and welfare of individuals.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for individuals and families.
