Job summary

The Trellis School in Sparks, MD is hiring entry-level Autism Instructors for full-time roles. Instructors work one-on-one with learners, applying ABA/VB strategies with extensive training and coaching.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:45am–3:45pm; pay scales from $21.00–$23.00 per hour with degree-based increases; full benefits and tuition reimbursement are provided. The role emphasizes developing foundational communication, learner readiness, academic, social and play skills, and requires strong teamwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; degrees preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and environments.
• Dependability and punctuality in daily duties.
• Proficiency with Trellis data systems and MS Office.
• Read/write English and communicate with learners and team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute naturalistic lesson plans outside classroom.
• Demonstrate ABA/VB teaching strategies to shape skills.
• Implement learners’ behavior, toileting, and feeding protocols.
• Accurately complete daily data tracking and input.
• Participate in team and student meetings; support school procedures.
• Create instructional materials and prepare for lessons.
• Assist with arrival, lunch, dismissal, field trips, and tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
