Job summary

RXinsider LTD. is seeking an Authorized Inspector Supervisor to lead training, audits and field inspections in the boiler and pressure vessel sector. You will ensure compliance with ASME and National Board requirements, supervise inspectors, and maintain documentation across shop and field activities.

Experience in the boiler/pressure vessel industry, NB Commission with B endorsement, and strong communication skills are essential for this role at RXinsider LTD.

Qualifications

• Must have a National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with "B" Endorsement.
• 1–4 years of boiler/pressure vessel industry experience (design fabrication, operation, repair/alteration, inspection, nondestructive examination, or quality systems).
• Ability to read, write and speak clearly; ability to interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to maintain Authorized Inspector competency.
• Audit and document performance of inspectors and document nonconforming activities.
• Confirm corrective actions have been verified and accepted by the Authorized Inspector.
• Record audits and site visits in the Inspector Diary for supervisory duties.
• Attend joint reviews for Certificate Holders for supervised inspectors.
• Review design specifications and engineering calculations per ASME.
• Review final testing to verify ASME compliance.
• Perform ASME/NB shop and field inspection services for clients, reviewing and verifying QC systems and inspection specs.
• Monitor client QC systems for compliance with codes and requirements.
• Document QC inspection activities per policy.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Code, National Board and jurisdictional requirements for fabrication and inspections.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of updated ASME/NB/jurisdictional requirements and continue learning.

Key Responsibilities

Authorized Inspector Supervisor Job Description

• Provide training and development necessary to maintain the Authorized Inspector's competency to complete the assigned duties.
• Auditing and documenting the performance of each Authorized Inspector assigned shop or field inspection responsibilities. Documenting nonconforming activities.
• Confirming that the necessary corrective actions have been verified and accepted by the Authorized Inspector.
• Recording in the Inspector Diary dates of all audits and visits to shop and field locations when related to the Authorized Inspector Supervisory duties.
• Attending each joint review for Certificate Holders for each Authorized Inspector being supervised.
• Review and accept design specification, engineering calculations in accordance with ASME.
• Review final testing of design to verify compliance with ASME.
• Performs ASME/NB shop and field inspection services to assigned clients, including review and verification, implementation and applicability of the manufacturers written quality control system and/or inspection specifications.
• Monitors client quality control systems for compliance with relevant codes and requirements.
• Documents quality control systems inspection activities per established policies.
• Ensures compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, National Board and jurisdictional requirements for fabrication activities and authorized inspection services.
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of updated applicable sections of ASME code and National Board and jurisdictional requirements. Continually enhances knowledge through self-study, internal training, and approved courses.

Required Education And/or Experience

• Must have a National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with "B" Endorsement.
• 1 – 4 years of demonstrated experience in the boiler and pressure vessel industry, such as design fabrication, operation, repair and alteration, inspection and nondestructive examination, or quality control systems.
