The HMO Authorization Specialist is an essential component of the certified agency team. The HMO Authorization Specialist is responsible for requesting authorization for home care services for patients with HMO/Managed Care payment sources and acts as a liaison between community-based COC (Coordinators of Care) and the HMO/Managed Care Companies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Must have homecare & managed care experience
• Knowledge about health insurance verification
• Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally required
• Computer Literacy – Proficiency in Word and Excel required
