Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking an Insurance Authorization Specialist in Boise, ID to obtain and track preauthorization, assist staff and insurance representatives, and maintain accurate documentation.

This role emphasizes confidentiality, teamwork, and delivering timely access to care for patients; requires strong organizational skills, exposure to healthcare billing, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience in health care billing and/or authorization practices.
• General knowledge of home care framework and third-party reimbursement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with ability to learn industry software.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

As an Authorization Specialist, You will:

• Be the crucial link between patients, insurance companies, and our clinical teams by obtaining and tracking preauthorization.
• Provide outstanding customer service by answering calls and assisting both staff and insurance representatives.
• Monitor and manage authorization statuses using computer reports and maintain clear, accurate documentation.
• Safeguard sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
• Collaborate across multiple departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery.
• Identify and resolve authorization challenges quickly by working closely with your supervisor and the team.
• Play an active role in training new employees on authorization processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in health care billing and/or authorization practices
• General knowledge of the framework, organization, and function of home care
• Sound knowledge of health care operations and third-party reimburesment
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Exploreer) with the ability to learn industry specific software applications
• Solid organizational skills, throughness, and a keen attention to detail with the ability to multi- task while prioritizing effectively
• Ability to work independently and in a team enivronment
• Excellent, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
